The OUTBACK Collections Purnululu Earrings evoke the shimmering 350 million-year-old banded domes of the Bungle Bungles within Western Australia’s Purnululu National Park.
Description
- The Purnululu Earrings are crafted with Sterling Silver, 9-carat Rose and Yellow Gold, evoking the banded colours of the Bungle Bungles within the Purnululu National Park.
- The domes’ striking orange and grey bands are caused by the presence of cyanobacteria, which grows on layers of sandstone where moisture accumulates.
- The individual gold bands are hand-sawed and are one piece, creating another visual element to the earrings.
- These Purnululu Earrings are finished with a high polish, capturing the play of light around the layered rock and the rivers forged over the millennia.
- These earrings are lightweight, 2.64 grams each, and easy to wear.
- SilverDreaming creations are hand-created, so there are always perfectly imperfect variances to each piece; no two creations are exactly the same.
- We are an Australian business passionate about preserving our unique environment. We donate 5% of our profits to Australian environmental causes. The OUTBACK Collections Purnululu Earrings proudly supports Bush Heritage Australia.
- The Outback collection was inspired by a road trip along an old stock route, the Gibb River Track, WA. The vast, ever-changing landscape was spectacular at every turn, so much so that Vickie is working on a series of landscapes to accompany this wearable art series.
